Lillian Perkins Morse founded several children's theater groups and provided many opportunities for high school students to be involved in community theater productions. To honor her influence and tireless dedication to enrich young people's lives, the Waynesboro Players created the Lillian Perkins Morse Scholarship.
This scholarship, in the amount of $1,000, will be awarded annually to an area high school senior has demonstrated:
· A good academic record.
· A contribution to the local theater community, including any involvement with a Waynesboro Players’ production
· An interest in pursuing the performing arts or related areas in college.
· A record of participation in service organizations/activities.
To be considered for this scholarship, candidates must submit NO LATER THAN APRIL 25, 2012:
1. A letter of intent, including academic, theatrical, and public service achievements
2. Two recommendations
3. GPA
4. High school transcript
