Lillian Perkins Morse was well known as a champion of young people. She founded several area children’s theater groups and always provided many opportunities for high school aged students to participate in community theater productions. In honor of her influence and tireless dedication to the enrichment of the Arts for young people, the Waynesboro Players created the LILLIAN PERKINS MORSE SCHOLARSHIP.
This scholarship, in the amount of $500, will be awarded annually to an area high school senior who meets the following criteria:
· Good academic standing
· Commitment to theatre and other public service
· Plans to continue in theatre or a related field in college
The candidate will submit the following:
· Letter of intent including academic, theatrical, and public service achievements
· Two recommendations
· GPA
· High school transcript
