I’ll Be Home for Christmas premiered at the Barter Theatre, Abingdon, Virginia as part of their 90th season. The play is set in a busy airport on Christmas Eve where a newly divorced gate agent is trying to maintain her Christmas spirit amidst the chaos of travelers hoping to get home for the holidays. The play follows the interactions of various quirky characters, including an opinionated grandmother, a young man with big dreams, and a champion turkey caller, all stuck in the airport hoping to get home for Christmas.
